Registration and Booking

Registration for the UCAT ANZ 2026 cycle opens in March 2026. This is when you can create your Pearson VUE account and book your preferred test date, time, and location. Early registration is strongly recommended because popular test centres and time slots fill up quickly, especially in major cities like Sydney, Melbourne, and Brisbane.

The booking deadline is 15 May 2026 at 11:59pm AEST. After this date, you will not be able to register for the UCAT ANZ 2026 cycle. To register, visit the official UCAT ANZ website and follow the link to Pearson VUE. You will need to provide personal details, select your preferred test centre, and pay the registration fee.

Book as early as possible to secure your first-choice date and location. If your preferred slot is unavailable, check back regularly as cancellations can free up spaces. Having your test date locked in early also helps you structure your preparation timeline effectively.

Test Window

The UCAT ANZ 2026 test window runs from 1 July to 5 August 2026. During this period, you will sit the exam at your chosen Pearson VUE test centre on the date and time you selected during registration.

You can choose any available date within the test window that suits your preparation schedule. Popular dates — particularly those in mid-July — tend to fill quickly, so booking early gives you the widest selection. Consider factors like your school schedule, other commitments, and how much preparation time you need when choosing your date.

Testing is available at multiple centres across Australia and New Zealand, with sessions running at various times throughout the day. Arriving early on test day is essential, as late arrivals may forfeit their sitting.

Cancellation and Rescheduling

The cancellation deadline for the UCAT ANZ 2026 is 12 June 2026 at 11:59pm AEST. If you cancel your booking before this deadline, you are eligible for a full refund of your registration fee. Cancellations made after this date will not receive a refund.

Rescheduling your test to a different date, time, or location is also available up until the cancellation deadline, subject to availability. If you need to change your booking, log in to your Pearson VUE account and select a new slot from the available options.

After the cancellation deadline passes, your booking is locked in. If you miss your test for any reason after this date, you will not receive a refund and will need to wait until the next testing cycle to sit the UCAT.

Results Release

UCAT ANZ 2026 results are typically released in September 2026. You will receive your results via email, and they will also be available in your online UCAT account. Your results include a scaled score for each of the four cognitive subtests and a band score for Situational Judgement.

Results are automatically sent to the universities you nominated during registration. You do not need to take any additional action to forward your scores. If you wish to add or change your nominated universities, you must do so before the deadline specified on the UCAT ANZ website.

Planning Your Preparation Timeline

With the key dates in mind, work backward from your chosen test date to build your preparation timeline. Most successful candidates spend three to six months preparing, with the final month dedicated primarily to full-length mock exams under timed conditions.

If you are testing in early July, aim to begin structured preparation by January or February. If you are testing in late July or August, starting in March or April gives you a solid runway. The last month before your test should focus on mock exams, reviewing mistakes, and refining your timing strategy rather than learning new content.

Use the registration opening in March as a trigger to formalise your study plan. Having a confirmed test date creates accountability and helps you stay on track with your preparation schedule.
