By accessing or using our website at ucatready.com.au (“the Site”) and any related services, you consent to the collection and use of your information as described in this policy. If you do not agree with this policy, please do not use the Site.

02 — INFORMATION WE COLLECT

We collect personal information that is reasonably necessary for the purposes of providing our services. The types of information we may collect include:

INFORMATION YOU PROVIDE

• Payment information: Billing details processed securely through our third-party payment provider (Stripe). We do not store your full credit card number on our servers.

• Survey and feedback responses: Any information you voluntarily provide through surveys, testimonials, or feedback forms.

INFORMATION COLLECTED AUTOMATICALLY

• Usage data: Information about how you interact with the Site, including pages visited, features used, questions attempted, scores, session duration, and practice history.
• Device and browser information: Your IP address, browser type and version, operating system, device type, screen resolution, and referring URL.

• To provide, operate, and maintain the UCATReady platform and its features, including practice questions, mock exams, walkthroughs, and performance analytics.

• To communicate with you about your account, including subscription confirmations, billing notifications, and support responses.
• To send you information about our products, services, updates, and promotions (with your consent, and with the ability to opt out at any time).
• To analyse usage patterns and improve the Site, our content, and our services.
• To detect, prevent, and address technical issues, fraud, or security threats.
• To comply with legal obligations and enforce our Terms of Service.

04 — SHARING YOUR INFORMATION

UCATReady will not sell, rent, or trade your personal information to any third party. We may share your personal information only in the following limited circumstances:

• Service providers: We share information with trusted third-party providers who assist us in operating the Site, processing payments, sending emails, or analysing data. These providers are contractually obligated to protect your information and use it only for the purposes we specify. Currently, these include Supabase (database and authentication), Stripe (payment processing), and Vercel (hosting).
• Legal requirements: We may disclose your information if required to do so by law, regulation, legal process, or government request, or if we believe disclosure is necessary to protect the rights, property, or safety of UCATReady, our users, or the public.
• Business transfers: In the event of a merger, acquisition, or sale of all or a portion of our assets, your personal information may be transferred as part of that transaction. We will notify you via email or prominent notice on the Site of any such change.

05 — DATA STORAGE AND SECURITY

UCATReady takes reasonable steps to protect the personal information we hold from misuse, interference, loss, and from unauthorised access, modification, or disclosure. These measures include:

• Encryption of data in transit using HTTPS/TLS and encryption of sensitive data at rest.
• Secure authentication via Supabase with row-level security policies.
• Payment information processed and stored by Stripe in accordance with PCI-DSS standards. UCATReady does not store full credit card numbers.
• Regular review of our data collection, storage, and processing practices.

While we take reasonable precautions, no method of electronic transmission or storage is 100% secure. We cannot guarantee absolute security of your personal information.

Your data may be stored on servers located in Australia or overseas (including the United States), depending on the infrastructure providers used. Where data is transferred overseas, we take reasonable steps to ensure the overseas recipient handles your information in accordance with the Australian Privacy Principles.

06 — COOKIES AND TRACKING TECHNOLOGIES

The Site uses cookies and similar technologies to enhance your browsing experience, remember your preferences, and collect analytics data. The types of cookies we use include:

• Essential cookies: Necessary for the Site to function correctly, including authentication and session management.
• Analytics cookies: Used to understand how visitors interact with the Site. We use Vercel Analytics and Vercel Speed Insights to collect anonymised usage data including page views, session duration, and performance metrics.
